The Details: The grand opening weekend of the new EcoDiscovery Center at the Museum of Discovery and Science starts Friday, November 11th at 1 p.m. Bring the entire family for an opening weekend event filled with exciting activities and special guests. The Museum is now twice the size and twice the discovery! Take a ride on the Everglades Airboat Adventure, enjoy the playful antics of river otters, experience hurricane force winds in the Storm Center, dig for fossils, step inside a giant 50 foot megalodon shark, and come face-to-face with a saber-toothed cat and an Imperial mammoth.
Guests can experience exciting science demonstrations in the new Keller Science Theater. Learn about the amazing states of matter at The Kaboom Show and at The Nitro Show find out what happens to things at minus 320 degrees Fahrenheit. Plus, enjoy special presentations by prehistoric shark expert Sabin Robbins, shark researchers from FIU, and meteorologists from WSVN.
